Hey! I’m home, rested, and my house is a wreck. Seriously – my floor looks like it hasn’t been vacuumed for years. And we had last-minute-company over yesterday. That’s how things roll around here… 🙂

We had an awesome time together in Hilton Head! Our fave part was just being together. Summers are so busy for us (since we work with our church youth group, summer is cRaZy), and we didn’t see much of one another the 2 weeks before vaca. So once we were officially “off,” we were loving just being together – it didn’t matter much what we were doing. But, of course, being at the beach was definitely a huge plus. 😉 We did a lot of this:

She did it to my leg too. Trust me – I have the strange tan lines to prove it… 😛

We had some extra time to kill on Sunday afternoon, so she and I watched a little chick flick. Apparently we were both very intense about it. haha – I had no idea I was so riveted until I saw this pic:

We all loved it there. 😉

During one of the nights, we went to a place called Shelter Cove. They have fireworks there on certain nights during the summer, so we went early and caught some of the festivities (including a clown my daughter wasn’t too crazy about). 😉 As it turns out, a big storm came “out of nowhere” and the fireworks were cancelled. However, we did manage to squeeze in a family pic before the rain came:

My baby girl LOVED it!!! She was trying to drink the water and got sprayed in the face so many times, but she kept going back for more. Sooo cute!!!

 

All in all, it was our BEST time ever as a family!

 

As a little preview for Friday…I couldn’t help but do some crafting while I was on vacation. I mean – all that time I didn’t have to spend doing things around the house – I had to do something with myself!!! 🙂 So I put the extra time to good use. And I must have been itching to work on home-stuff, because I hadn’t been home for 4 hours before I had a can of spray paint in my hand.
