Some people knock others on Pinterest for pinning food.
Me? I embrace it. Who cares that almost 25% of my pins are food-related? I mean, if my pinning food makes my husband a happier and better-fed man, so be it. And let’s not talk about how this could be accomplished without Pinterest because – it’s just way more fun to go Pinterest surfing.
And so now, I give you…my top Pinterest recipes.
These are not recipes I’ve only pinned, but have actually been cooked, eaten & given a thumbs-up by my entire family. I’ve ordered them with my favorites for last, so keep on scrollin’ & clickin’ around for the recipes. Your tastebuds will thank you!
Seventh Place: Mini Chicken Pot Pies
these guys win an A+ for family friendliness. I mean, seriously – how fun is a little muffin shaped chicken pot pie?! I’ll be honest here and say that I’m not a fan of the canned biscuits & canned cream soup in the recipe. But those could easily be substituted for a homemade variety, so I’m keeping this guy in my recipe file.
Sixth Place: Rosemary Parmesan Roasted Chickpeas
go get your snack on, folks. this one’s a great recipe for a snack attack. and you’ll just about faint while preparing it because the aroma is hea.ven.ly. smells just like Carrabba’s. and that’s a major compliment.
Fifth Place: Broccoli & Cheese Soup
yum. this was really fabulous. I made a triple recipe and my kids were fans throughout every meal. delish.
Fourth place: Corn & Potato Chowder
this guy can cook right in the crockpot which gives it major pointage. the addition of bacon only ups the coolness factor. totally fantastic.
Third place: Soft Bread Bowls
I have made this recipe a lot. Like – a lot a lot. And I’ve made both of the soups above for serving in it. As you may remember, I ate soup in a bread bowl soon before giving birth to Nate. So, you know these guys have a special place in my heart {er…stomach?}
Second place: Chickpea Tacos
my friends. I cannot express to you how much I am dearly in like with these chickpea tacos. I have served them countless times to my meat-loving husband. And he loves them. that makes me a happy woman. I always make waaaay more chickpeas than it calls for because we like lots of chickpeas in our tacos. and because I like eating them for leftovers. I strongly admonish you to partake of this recipe and see if your heart does not go pitter-pat along with mine.
First place: Honey Sesame Chicken
If you only try one recipe from this page…let it be this one. You literally dump the ingredients in the crockpot, give it a quick stir if you’re feeling extra safe, and come home several hours later to the easiest, most delicious entree you have ever eaten. Did I mention easy? Seriously, guys. This one’s a keeper. This is the recipe my hubby requests. Or if we’re having company, he suggests it. Or if he comes home from work and I tell him it’s in the crockpot, I know I’ve just scored a gajillion wife-points. We like it over brown rice with steamed broccoli on the side.
Have you tried any of these recipes already? Which is your favorite?

Just made two of these recipes tonight – definite yum!! Especially the bread bowls 🙂 Thank you so much! Looking forward to trying some others later…so happy to be trying new recipes. I’ve been stuck in a rut way too long…
yea!! I’m so glad you liked them! and I totally understand getting in a recipe rut. It tends to happen for me surrounding busy seasons in life…and I realize we’ve eaten burritos and eggs for the majority of our last – ohhhhh 2 months – of meals. 😉
