Ten years ago, on June 6, 2008, I said “I do” to a guy named Jonathan Threlfall.
We had no idea what we were doing. Or at least it seems that way now as we look back. But most likely, ten years from now, we’ll look back at ourselves today and say, “Oh, we had no clue!”
Thankfully, there’s a God who knows it all.
This God led Jonathan and me to build a relationship that eventually led to marriage.
And here we are ten years later.
A while ago, it dawned on me that Jonathan and I could attempt to re-create our wedding photos in the exact place we had them taken. So in April, Jonathan and I put on our wedding attire, dressed our kids in white and denim, and headed to the same field and railroad tracks where we were on our wedding day.
I love seeing those 4 little people surrounding us, don’t you?!
The running picture was one of our favorites, so we knew we had to recreate it. The first time our photographer told us to run, my boys started running the opposite way. Hilarious! Eventually, we all ran in the same direction and captured this fun shot.
I am so grateful to be married to a man who passionately loves God above everyone else.
This week, Jonathan and I are spending some time away to celebrate God’s grace in our marriage and to work on building our relationship for the future. We’re so thankful for his guidance in our lives.
“For this God is our God for ever and ever; he will be our guide even to the end.”
Psalm 48:14
