Mary Beth from Annapolis & Company nominated me for the Leibster Award, and I thought it would be great fun to play along!
First off, I have to tell you 11 random facts about myself. Yikes. This could get personal.
- i like vacuuming.
- in my dreams, i am a great chef. in reality, i make crockpot lasagna. yikes.
- the first person I ever kissed was my hubby.
- the first time I kissed him was the day we got married.
- i get scared of people who always look perfect.
- there is a cobweb in the corner of my living room.
- my feet are frequently as cold as ice.
- if money was no issue, i would buy cheese. lots of cheese. like those big wheels of cheese. and eat them.
- i used to be a cheerleader.
- i don’t like dusting.
- i regularly talk to stuffed animals. this is a habit begun by my sister.
And here are the questions Mary Beth asked me to answer:
1./ If you could live anywhere, where would it be? oh, just wherever my hubby decides to go. but besides that, I adore the weather in San Diego.
2./ What’s been your most embarrassing moment to date? Wow. I can’t write it on here. But I was pretty embarrassed when I tripped up the stairs on Valentine’s Day, bloodied my knee, ripped my clothes, and then was asked by a guy: “Did you hurt anything? Besides your pride?” Yeah. Definitely not one of my top 10. {guys or moments}
3./ What is your creative outlet? I love writing. Thus, the blog. I also love creating and making things beautiful on a budget. {Thus, the $6 chair & cardboard wreath.}
4./ What did you eat for breakfast this morning? Whole Wheat Honey Oatmeal bread with apple butter.
5./ What makes a good friend? Someone who loves no matter what. Someone who talks to you, asks questions, & genuinely cares.
6./ What has been the most important day of your life? the day I became a child of God. followed by the day I married my best friend.
7./ Do you prefer to love or prefer to be loved? I prefer to love. no, I lied. um…definitely prefer to be loved.
8./ Who inspires you? Jesus. my husband. I’m inspired by women {especially moms} who passionately love Jesus, their husband & kids, who get tired but still strive to have a joyful spirit, who make time to live a creative life, who fight fear with faith, give more than seems possible, and live lives full of grace.
9./ Do you feel most invigorated when you spend time with other people or being by yourself? I like both at different times. I’ve gotta say, there’s something about being alone in the car & singing loudly to music that is just pure fabulousness.
10./ Please finish this sentence…I wish I had known… that God created me as an individual with unique strengths & weaknesses. Especially when I was a teen…Don’t try to become anyone else – just be a better you!
- If you had 1 day & all the money you needed, what would you do?
- Who is your best friend?
- What did you eat for dinner last night?
- If you could become someone else for one day, who would you be?
- What is your favorite way to relax?
- If you could change one part of your personality, what would you change?
- Are you a night-owl? Early bird?
- Why did you start blogging?
- Favorite food?
- What’s the one thing you would do if you knew you wouldn’t fail?
- What are you looking forward to most in 2013?
Now I’m tagging 11 bloggers at the bottom and here are the rules:
Have fun!!!

Christa! I loved reading through all of this! #5 random fact we have in common. It’s taken me a long time to get over that, but I think I’m making some headway {mostly because I work at Anthropologie now and everyone looks perfect there!} And I loved #11 about knowing we are created as individuals. I could’ve saved a lot of time if I had gotten that as a teenager too! Thanks for participating and Happy 2-year Blogging Anniversary!
thanks, Mary Beth!! Thanks for the nomination. 😉 and wow – how fun to work at Anthro!!! hmm…maybe I’ll add that to my list of things to pursue once my kids get older. 😀
I really enjoyed reading your answers, Christa 🙂 an totally pictured you In number #10 with the song “Bow the Knee”. I suddenly felt homesick for HBC choir practices 😉 love ya!

#9 – I was a cheerleader too! Yeah Rah!
Hey thanks for including me. Loved reading through these. I will be answering these very soon on my blog…it will be loads of fun, I assure you.
yea! can’t wait to read your answers!! 🙂
Oh man – my feet are always, always freezing!! My hands, too. I’m always wearing socks and wrapped up in a blanket. And I love to vacuum, too.
Ahhh…we must be twins separated at birth!! 😉 I think the vacumming enjoyment comes from seeing all the dirt disappear and all I have to do is push around a little thing. Simple pleasures. 😀
