Last Christmas, my brother and sister-in-law sent us an amazon gift card. {side note: I am not a paid advertiser for amazon, but for all the things I link to, I think they should at least send me a candy bar. Or some dried cherries. *ahem*} Anyway, I was pretty excited about my shopping spree via the gift card and immediately started perusing my wish list. One of the books on there was My ABC Bible Verses by Susan Hunt.

I had never heard anything about this book, but it looked good, so I decided to take a risk and buy it. I know. I’m such a crazy risk-taker, aren’t I?

For the past 5 months, Jonathan and I have been working through this book with Anna Grace. There’s a different verse for each letter as well as a little story that explains the verse. I’ll be honest and tell you that Anna Grace’s favorite part is the story. But she also loves working through this book and learning new verses! We have taken several days for each letter so the verses will really stick in her mind. She has a harder time with the references, but that will come as we continue to review. Right now, we only have “Y” and “Z” left – that means she’s learned 24 verses over the past 5 months! Plus, she is getting very familiar with her letters – major plus.

If you are looking for a Bible memory plan for your child, we have loved this one. It’s so important to fill our children’s minds {and our own minds!} with the Word of God. This is one tool we’re using to accomplish that purpose.
