Now that the 31 Days of Blessings in Disguise Series is over, I feel the freedom to write about blessings that don’t come in any disguise. Beautiful things that are just blessings in and of themselves. So today? Let’s talk about Fall.
I haven’t decided what my fave season is, but Fall might be it. I don’t like deciding favorites because it might change in a few months. So I just say it’s one of my favorites.
I broke out my Fall decor before Summer was technically over. We had a couple of cool days and I decided that was good enough for me!
Of course, I still use the wreath I made a couple years ago:
But I added a few more items this year. I present to you…my 2012 fall tablescape:
Just a few random items placed together:
Tablecloth: yard sale
Runner: Ikea {I think they still have them for $4.99?}
Chargers: Target clearance {Fall ’09}
Centerpiece: Dollar Tree {woot woot! }
Seriously, I walked into Dollar Tree a couple months ago for some random items and BAM – there in the front of the store were these plates, bowls, and mugs in gorgeous fall colors. No need to say hello twice. I grabbed a plate and bowl, then found a pumpkin & a string of slightly glittery leaves. Of course, I make it sound as if I just walked in and walked out. My husband {who was waiting in the car} can attest to the fact that I took a while deciding exactly which plate, bowl, string of leaves, and pumpkin I wanted to buy.
At long last, I finally decided.
I’m pretty pleased.
There are a few other fall items around my home. A candle with leaves surrounding it above my kitchen sink:
A leaf bowl filled with potpourri on my counter:
And just a couple decor items in my living room:
Newsflash: this was my living room a couple weeks ago. I took this pic before we had an addition to our family. This will be the last pic you see of the old living room. Promise.
Here’s a close-up of the jar on top of the “entertainment center.”
That’s about it for fall around my home!
How about you guys? Any fall decorators out there – or do you hold out for Christmas?

love your dollar store centerpiece. 🙂 and the wire pumpkin on your end table. I love fall too but have a hard time nailing down ONE favorite season. But I think I can say “winter” (with the exception of Christmas ) is my most un-favorite season 🙂
can’t wait to see your “new” living room!
hahaha!!! Winter gets long after a while…especially if you live in a cold and windy place! and I can’t wait to show pics of my chair all duded up! 😀
