Today – August 10, 2015 – marks the beginning of a brand new stage in my life.
Today begins my homeschooling journey.
It may end tomorrow. Just sayin’.
Some may call that pessimistic. I call it realistic. You know why? Because a funny thing happens when I think about homeschooling my kids for their entire school lives. The thought always seems to coincide with both a quickened heart rate & raised blood pressure.
Huh. Strange how that happens.
My solution?
Take it one day at a time.
Actually, I pondered this mantra over the weekend and wondered if I was thinking correctly.
Then this verse exploded into my thoughts:
Therefore do not be anxious about tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble.
So I guess it’s not my solution after all. It was God’s idea all along.
To help me remember to take things one day at a time, I decided to make this free printable the cover for my homeschooling notebook.
And you know what I’m learning? Living life day by day {instead of by the month, year, or decade like I usually do} not only takes out the worries – it gives a lot of room for excitement.
Here’s to the beginning of homeschooling – one day at a time.

Oh Christa!! I love meeting new homeschoolers 🙂 The first year is rough. You will cry. You will want to give up. But DON’T! There is joy on the other side. I promise!
When I meet you at Allume I will hug your neck from one homeschool mom to another!
