These homemade bagels put store bought ones to shame. Shame, I tell you. I really want to make some more. But seeing as I ate the majority of them last time, I keep resisting the urge.

Yes! yours look amazing 🙂 Something in storebought bagels always tastes a little off to me (maybe one of the preservatives or something?) but homemade are so amazing 🙂 Did you know if you put a little sugar in the boiling water they get even browner in the oven? Doesn’t really affect the taste, but I love seeing the transformation 🙂 And I love the cheese on yours. Yum.
AH! I totally forgot to put the sugar in the water! Mushy mommy brain… 😀
Your recipe called for it?! I’ve tried a few and only seen one that called for the sugar in the water 🙂 Now you definitely have a good reason to try it again. (stick some in the freezer if you’re afraid of an overdose. 😉 )
