DIY Pumpkin Pie Spice

Tis’ the season for pumpkin. And lots of it.

Pumpkin Pie, Pumpkin Chip Bars, Pumpkin Spice coffee creamer (like I was drinking yesterday), Pumpkin Butter, Pumpkin Cream Cheese Muffins

Many of these items call for a certain ingredient called “Pumpkin Pie Spice.” It’s sold in eensy-weensy containers for a gajillion bucks. Well, maybe that’s a slight exaggeration. But not by much.

After making my own taco seasoning and loving it, I got to thinking, “There’s gotta be a way to do that with pumpkin pie spice.”

A 3 second search on swagbucks yielded quite a few results. Clearly, I’m not the first to have this bright idea. Martha, Annie, & Tara have all done it before me.

Fabulous. So all I have to do is borrow from their brilliant minds and figure out what works best for my taste buds.

Here’s my version. Try it. Smell it and add more of one ingredient if your nose tells you to. Trust your nose and taste buds instead of being glued to the recipe. I promise you’ll get the best results if you give yourself a little freedom.

After making this, go ahead and make some pumpkin cream cheese muffins with me. If I’m going to gain a couple, I want you to join me.

Because if everybody’s gaining weight, then nobody is.

Right? Isn’t that how it works? Tell me that’s how it works and I’ll be your friend forever.
