Valentine Party Recap + recipe

Well, hey there! Happy Monday to ya!

I mentioned Friday that I was hosting a Valentine’s Party for some of my teen girls, so I thought it would be fun to share a little picture recap with you.

Here’s the whole area set up:

And how about a closer look at those tissue pom poms? I had great plans to make them, but thankfully found them for a steal {practically}. But I already told you all about that here.

Jonathan saw them on Thursday at dinner for the first time and the first thing he said? “We should have these up all the time!”

Yeah, he’s pretty good.

And what’s a party without food, you ask?

Why – it’s not a party at all. And so there was food.

I may have over prepared a wee bit in the food area, as there were over half of the heart pizzas left and it looked like we hadn’t even made a dent in the chex mix and hot chocolate station candy. This was not good news because it means I’ve been snacking on these items all. weekend. long.

In fact, yesterday after church our power was off and I briefly considered feeding all of us chex mix for lunch. I reconsidered.
Unfortunately.

Here’s one of my favorite party recipes. Easy peasy. And dangerously wonderful. If you like a sweet + salty, chocolate + caramel combination, MAKE THESE. They’re also delish with a pecan on top instead of an m&m.

I gathered a few things from Walmart + around the house & some of the girls brought some lovely items for photo booth props:
