First off, I have to tell you 11 random facts about myself. Yikes. This could get personal.

  1. i like vacuuming.
  2. in my dreams, i am a great chef. in reality, i make crockpot lasagna. yikes.
  3. the first person I ever kissed was my hubby.
  4. the first time I kissed him was the day we got married.
  5. i get scared of people who always look perfect.
  6. there is a cobweb in the corner of my living room.
  7. my feet are frequently as cold as ice.
  8. if  money was no issue, i would buy cheese. lots of cheese. like those big wheels of cheese. and eat them.
  9. i used to be a cheerleader.
  10. i don’t like dusting.
  11. i regularly talk to stuffed animals. this is a habit begun by my sister.

And here are the questions Mary Beth asked me to answer:

1./  If you could live anywhere, where would it be? oh, just wherever my hubby decides to go. but besides that, I adore the weather in San Diego.

2./  What’s been your most embarrassing moment to date? Wow. I can’t write it on here. But I was pretty embarrassed when I tripped up the stairs on Valentine’s Day, bloodied my knee, ripped my clothes, and then was asked by a guy: “Did you hurt anything? Besides your pride?” Yeah. Definitely not one of my top 10. {guys or moments}

3./  What is your creative outlet? I love writing. Thus, the blog. I also love creating and making things beautiful on a budget. {Thus, the $6 chair & cardboard wreath.}

4./  What did you eat for breakfast this morning? Whole Wheat Honey Oatmeal bread with apple butter.

5./  What makes a good friend? Someone who loves no matter what. Someone who talks to you, asks questions, & genuinely cares.

6./  What has been the most important day of your life? the day I became a child of God. followed by the day I married my best friend.

7./  Do you prefer to love or prefer to be loved? I prefer to love. no, I lied. um…definitely prefer to be loved.

8./ Who inspires you? Jesus. my husband. I’m inspired by women {especially moms} who passionately love Jesus, their husband & kids, who get tired but still strive to have a joyful spirit, who make time to live a creative life, who fight fear with faith, give more than seems possible, and live lives full of grace.

9./ Do you feel most invigorated when you spend time with other people or being by yourself? I like both at different times. I’ve gotta say, there’s something about being alone in the car & singing loudly to music that is just pure fabulousness.

10./ Please finish this sentence…I wish I had known… that God created me as an individual with unique strengths & weaknesses. Especially when I was a teen…Don’t try to become anyone else – just be a better you!

And here are my 11 questions for the bloggers listed below:
  1. If you had 1 day & all the money you needed, what would you do?
  2. Who is your best friend?
  3. What did you eat for dinner last night?
  4. If you could become someone else for one day, who would you be?
  5. What is your favorite way to relax?
  6. If you could change one part of your personality, what would you change?
  7. Are you a night-owl? Early bird?
  8. Why did you start blogging?
  9. Favorite food?
  10. What’s the one thing you would do if you knew you wouldn’t fail?
  11. What are you looking forward to most in 2013?

Now I’m tagging 11 bloggers at the bottom and here are the rules:

1./  Each blogger should post 11 random facts about themselves.
2./  Answer the questions the tagger has set for you, then create 11 new questions for the bloggers you pass the award to.
3./  Choose 11 new bloggers (or with less than 200 followers) {er…I took a few liberties with this one} to pass the award to and link them in your post.
4./  Go to their page and tell them about the award.
5./  No tag backs.

  1. Christa! I loved reading through all of this! #5 random fact we have in common. It’s taken me a long time to get over that, but I think I’m making some headway {mostly because I work at Anthropologie now and everyone looks perfect there!} And I loved #11 about knowing we are created as individuals. I could’ve saved a lot of time if I had gotten that as a teenager too! Thanks for participating and Happy 2-year Blogging Anniversary!

  10. Oh man – my feet are always, always freezing!! My hands, too. I’m always wearing socks and wrapped up in a blanket. And I love to vacuum, too.

  11. Ahhh…we must be twins separated at birth!! 😉 I think the vacumming enjoyment comes from seeing all the dirt disappear and all I have to do is push around a little thing. Simple pleasures. 😀
