I Have the Best Job

We’ve been celebrating a lot around here. Miles had his {literal} birthday, Nate turned 2 last week, and today is Anna Grace’s 4th birthday.

Nate //our little dude.

loves wrestling, blankies, wearing shoes, holding his brother’s hand, building towers, and being tickled.

doesn’t have much use for raw spinach, talking, or being without Daddy.

Anna Grace // our little princess.

Me: “What are some things you like?”
Anna Grace: “I like playing, making forts, holding Miles, reading with Mommy, drawing, doing somersaults, playing with Nate, sleeping, sitting and eating with Mommy. I like to bring my purse to things. I like playing on Daddy’s phone.”

Me: “Are there any things you don’t like to do?”
Anna Grace: “umm…I don’t think so.”

I wouldn’t trade being a Mommy to my 3 babies & being married to their Daddy for anything in the world.

I have the best job.

  1. You surely do! Such sweet precious children. I can remember years ago, riding in the car with you (when you were going to babysit my kids), you asked me: “What do you see me doing with my life, Mrs. Clark?” And I replied, “I see you being a pastor’s wife and being with children.” And when I see this reality in your life, I feel such overwhelming joy for you!

    Love, Mary

  2. I have thought about that conversation many times!! So thankful for how the Lord leads in our lives!!!

  3. awww… love the pictures. AG is looking so grown up. And 2 is such a fun age for boys! 🙂

And wow… all your kids birthday’s are within weeks of each other. 1 in October, 2 in November? Lots of mass birthday celebrations in your future 🙂

  4. Precious! I love Anna Grace’s response to if there was anything she didn’t like to do. “Um … I don’t think so.” Adorable. A little surprised sleeping didn’t fall under that category.
So glad you love what you do. You also do it well. Much love all around, and it shows!

  5. Okay, it always shows Joel’s face, but that’s me. Not that I had to tell you that.

  6. How sweet! What a lovely photo of the 4 of you! And I agree, being a Mama and wife is the best! I’ve been a mom for almost 11 years now and it never gets old. 🙂

  7. I know!! All three birthdays are within 4 weeks. Crazy! We have a lot of sweets around the house during those weeks. 😀

  8. Yeah, I’m pretty surprised she didn’t come up with anything! I could think of a few things she doesn’t like…pepperoni, eating quickly, leaving the house without her purse… 😉

  9. thanks, Kristin! it is certainly the best and I am so thankful I get to be one!
