Friday Faves :: overflowing browser tabs

Friday Faves

Regularly, I have a million chrome browser tabs opened on my phone. Okay, well a million is a bit of a stretch. But 20 is not. Sometimes I read things that I love and want to save to refer back to, share with you, or talk over with Jonathan. And then there’s the occasional recipe or cool-looking location to try out. For today’s Friday Faves, I’m pulling together a grouping of links so that we can all be inspired together.

From Gracelaced, 4 things for to consider as you pursue your dream. These words have been bouncing around in my head + heart for the past couple weeks. Most notably these 2 phrases:

If you want to be inspired, look to what’s eternal, lasting, true, and beautiful.

Most times, true inspiration comes from seeking to be extraordinarily present in your ordinary life.

I cannot attest as to whether this Lemon Loaf is better than Starbuck’s because I have never tasted Sbux lemon loaf.
However, I can attest to the fact that this recipe is the bomb dot com. My kids and I scarfed down most of it, yours truly being the greatest contributor to the loaf’s demise. It was delicious. If you like lemon, put this on your breads or desserts pinterest board.

In honor of Mother’s Day, let’s check out a listing of 8 Ways Being a Mom is a Lot Like Being Insane, shall we? The one below? NAILED IT.
Also, the one about forgetting that spit-up is a legitimate reason to change clothing. I don’t think I’ve forgotten that one; I’m just in denial. Which, come to think of it, is probably one of the first stages of insanity. Ahem.

I’m absolutely loving the extra daylight + warm weather we’re having here in the Carolinas. One of our favorite things to do is to get outside and walk, run, or just let our kids play with random sticks and leaves they find and call treasures. They’re currently planting a “garden” with some avocado & apple seeds they found from our food. 🙂 Such a fun stage of exploration and learning!

What are your plans for this weekend? I’d love to hear!
Happy weekend-ing to all you lovelies!
