Friday Faves

Hey there! Happy weekend!!
How about some awesome links for your perusal?

This cornbread is the best I’ve ever tried. I literally had a moment of silence when I tasted my first bite. With my eyes closed. And a few repeated mumblings that went something like, “mmm…best…mmm…moist…mmm…” Jonathan was confused. Needless to say, there were no guests over for dinner that night. Make this. Better than Jiffy box mix. I know the word ‘moist’ is gross and all, but THIS. This is moist. And delicious.

I found this poem and it’s been running through my mind all week. I haven’t read the entire catalog of poems, so I don’t know what else Erin Hanson has written, but this one is beautiful.

Have you heard of the 7 minute workout? I found this {non-music} version on youtube last week and have been doing it pretty regularly since. I like that it works in cardio, arms, quads, and core. Oh – and the 7-ish minute part is pretty rad too.

7 minute workout

I bought a couple of these guys for when Jonathan & I have date nights at home. We usually take one night/week to read through a chapter in a marriage book and talk. And I think having tasty drinks/eats makes anything more special, so…

Meet my new favorite painting.

I discovered David French through a local art fest and fell in love with all of his Charlotte art. The one above is one of my favorites, but there are a lot more on his site. I think the Charlotte skyline is beautiful anyway. But since I live here, I love it even more.

Love these! Friday faves are so fun. I’m glad you’re doing them! The 7 minute workout? Intriguing. I’m gonna try it! And I loved that poem too. Very sweet. Hugs!

  2. Thanks for the cornbread link! We love cornbread but I have to say I have never made it from scratch only the Jiffy kind… 🙁 So adding cornmeal to my grocery list and plan on making this soon!

And thanks for the reminder to go enter the giveaway – read your pallet shelf post on my phone and forgot to go back and enter. Love your shelf by the way too!
