encouragement for your new season

Just some musings via instagram that have been encouraging me in this new season. I’m always so challenged by Jess & Ruth’s focus on truth + the Gospel in their instagram posts.

I’ve had a long standing confusion about the phrase “she believed she could and so she did”. What does that even mean? Is that how it works for other people? Where does the gospel interact with that? I find that most often the things I feel most called to (motherhood, ministry, business) I feel the least belief in myself and have to rely on Jesus the most. Three women who are sharing truth on insta/blogs the past 24 hours about New Years and goals: @moriahsunde, @laracasey, and @jenniesallen. Follow them and be blessed! And know that He who called you is faithful to complete all the things He has for you, even if you don’t believe in yourself.

For some, their fresh start went exactly as planned…while others are pushing back feelings of defeat, already. I’m ending this first day of the new year armed with the truth that TODAY, whichever date, month, or year, is always a new beginning…because the steadfast love of Christ never runs out and doesn’t depend on our successes. To all of us resolution maker + breakers, His faithfulness fuels ours, rather than obligates it. He lights our fire and keeps the embers burning…singing, “Great is Your faithfulness!” 🌿

We made it! 🙌 Sometimes hiking with young kids seems totally not worth it… especially when it takes a while just to get.out.the.door. 😂 And then when you get up the mountain just a little bit and little people start saying their feet hurt, you might think you had the absolute worst idea ever. BUT. Then you get to the top. And you’re super glad you went through all the 😭 to get to the 😆. Sounds like a pretty good analogy to life, right? Just keep climbin’… God’s got this. 👊 And He’s got you too. ❤ #dwellingrichly

I’ve been enjoying using the #DwellingRichly hashtag for the last few months. I would love to have you join in with me and share what truths you’re dwelling on from God & His Word!

Happy weekend, my friends! Be encouraged in Christ today!
