Curb Appeal {on the cheap} 6/6

Quick note:
I was just notified last night that there was a highly objectionable ad popping up on my mobile site. Since I could not identify the source of the ad, I have temporarily {perhaps permanently} deactivated my mobile site. I sincerely apologize to anyone who may have seen the ad.
I want Brown Sugar Toast to be a place that encourages your heart closer to Christ, and this ad certainly did not accomplish that goal.
If you ever see anything on this site that causes you concern, please let me know. For everyone who didn’t see it, feel free to disregard the above message!

Step 6 is my favorite step of all because it has everything to do with personalizing your space with things you love!

step6 curb appeal

And really, that’s the most important point of this whole series. Whatever you do to your home to increase curb appeal, be sure it’s something that reflects the love and personality of the people inside it. You want something that will look like your home before you ever step a foot inside. So work to make it reflect who you are!

Hope you’ve enjoyed this series. I’m looking forward to sharing before & after pictures of the outside my home {hopefully next week!} and showing you what I’ve done – in a rental home and on a minimal budget – to give my home’s curb appeal a boost.

Until then, I’d love to hear what you thought of this series! Anything you’re planning to change – or already changed – in your home because of what you’ve learned? Can’t wait to hear!

  1. Our house needs the most love in the going green. We inherited some pretty wonky landscaping, with some bushes planted too closely to the house and trimmed to compensate, a tree that has branches about to poke us in the eye :), and flower beds filled with grass and weeds. Lovely, huh? But we have plans! If we get that stuff done, I would love to do something different about our house number. And then we would see from there. 🙂 Thanks for all the great ideas! Fun and helpful as usual. Look forward to seeing what you all do!

  2. Sounds exciting!! 😉 but you guys have some other pretty major things going on right now, so I’d say the shrubs can go on the back burner. 😉

  3. Loved this series, Christa! Love how you broke it down into simple steps. You have inspired me – now to just get busy.

Now I want to see what YOU are doing to add curb appeal?? 🙂

  4. yep! you’ve gotta wait! 🙂
