Be Still :: 10/52

Happy Monday to you!

I’ve been a bit behind with my P52 (Project 52) challenge photos lately. (If you’re new around here, P52 is a yearlong challenge over at My 3 Boybarians. I’ve committed to taking 1 photo a week during 2012. Each week, we have a new theme.) Last week’s theme was “Be Still.”

As soon as I saw this theme, my first thought was of Psalm 46:10:

“Be still, and know that I am God. I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth!”

Later on that week, I was reading a devotional book. You know what the scheduled reading was for the day?

Psalm 46.

So, of course, I grabbed my camera and took a picture before I read it.

Sometimes, life presents every reason to scream and complain.

Yet God’s call to me is clear.

Today, when things don’t go the way you planned…

when someone acts out against you…

when your child tries your patience in every way possible…

the call is still the same:

“Be still, and know that I am God.”

I’m working on a new project and planning to share it with you on Friday. Don’t wanna give it away. So I’ll just say it has something to do with this lovely magazine I received 1 1/2 weeks ago:

Oh, how I love projects!

On a completely different topic, I decided to challenge myself to run 100 miles before May 1. Crazy much? Uhhhh…maybe. Wanna join in the craziness? Check this out. I’d love some company. So far, there are 24 people signed up to do the challenge with me. As of right now, I have completed 0 out of 100 miles. Some dude on there has already done 14. #overachiever

Okay, enough rabbit trailing for me. See you Wednesday for an exciting announcement! It involves good food. And friends. And I better leave before I give it away.
